I let a friend take my Savage around the block, when he got back my helmet
was busted and anything sticking out on the bike was either bent or scratched
and he was limping. The helment saved him a trip to the ER. He offered to pay for the
damages. He leaned too far in a turn and dug the left footpeg into the asphalt
then lost it. No frame damage and the gas tank has just a small scratch.
I couldn't believe it as I stood there looking at my busted bike. He led me
on like he had ridden before, but actually had not. Lesson learned--Know
for sure who you let ride, because it may not come back the same bike, if it comes back
at all!
